About the Primate

His Grace Primate Dr. Eri Ade-Turton Onibode is the founder and Primate of Success Gate (Ibode Aseyori) Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Christ’s Church International. He was born in Ilesha, Osun State located in the South-western part of Nigeria to the family of late Pa Dupeolu and Esther Turton. He was the sixth child in the family of seven. He was a catholic by birth. He attended St Mary Primary School; and had his secondary education at Council Commercial School, and C.A.C Grammar School both at Ilesha, his hometown. He later proceeded to the Federal Training Centre, Ilorin, where he bagged OND, in Secretarial Studies and later to the University of Ilorin where he bagged a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Administration.

While growing up, he was a server in the church. While others put on normal dresses to the church, he wears surplice and cassock. When Bishop Anthony Olubunmi Okogie was ordained priest at St. Mary Cathedral Catholic Church Ilesha, he was ordained by the Bishop to carry the sceptre for him.

He was the general manager of O.B.C Motors. During this period, he was on a salary of ₦2,300, an official car and a well-furnished 3 bedroom flat. As a teacher he started teaching in 1977. He was once a member of the spiritualists called Holy Michael. His first contact with the C & S Church was when he attended a church called C & S Beulah in Ilesa. He was however steadfast with the C & S church of Ijesha-tedo in Akure. Then, he was the El-kadar. He also bagged a Doctorate Degree in Divinity by Laity of the City of London University (Theological Seminary) in December 1990.

He is widely traveled and enjoys international recognition. He was a teacher, typist, confidential secretary, Administrative secretary and an acting Corporate General Manager before finally bowing to God’s divine call.

He is a Spiritual Analyst, Crisis Manager, Dramatist, Poet, Drummer, Dancer and more.

His Grace Primate Dr. Eri Ade-Turton Onibode is called by God. God revealed to him that the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) church is loved but they have allowed themselves to be carried away by earthly things, thereby perverting the rules of God.

His call gave birth to Success Gate Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Christ’s Church International on the 11th of November 1984 at No. 1, Honeymoon Junction, Off Ondo Road, Akure with twenty-nine (29) people including the children and Primate were in attendance at the maiden service.
